Easy DIY cat bed!

My cat Miss Prudence (great name right?) is getting pretty old now so I thought it would only be fair to make her a little bed of her own where our other, much younger, cat will stay out of her way. The bed that I've made her only involves 2 things: A blanket and a deep cube/square wicker basket! This is so easy to make and VERY affordable so lets get cracking!

Step 1: Find a spot where your cat likes to sit. Cats tend to like high up places because they can see everything that's going on around them. Make sure they will still be able to get to the spot when the bed is on it.
Step 2: Place the basket on its longest side with the opening facing outwards. I find that its good to have the back of the basket against a wall so my cat knows that nothing is sneaking up behind her.

Step 3: Fold the blanket up until it fits snuggly at the bottom of the basket. Make sure that its not going to fall off of the surface its on.

Step 4: Introduce your cat to their bed and get them used to going in it by adding a few treats in every now and then. Eventually they will just go in on their own, especially if it smells like them.

So thats my quick and easy DIY cat bed, leave me feedback on this post in the comments and if I should do more DIY's!
Bye for now! :)

The Autumn Tag 2014

Yay! Autumn is here which means I can start getting warm and cozy with a big cup of hot chocolate every night until christmas! Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year and I thought why not write a tag post on it! So here you go, my autumn tag...

1. Coffee's - What's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks, Costa, Cafe Nero etc?

I'm ashamed to say, I don't actually like coffee. It's just not my kind of drink I guess! But if I had to pick my favourite autumn drink in general it would probably be the Starbucks caramel frappuccino (cream based, obviously)!

2. Accessories - What do you opt for? Scarves, gloves, boots?

I love accessorising in Autumn since there's so much you can do! I normally go for beanie hats, boots and scarves (or snoods)! I love using these 3 accessories as they are all so versatile and can be worn together or separately!

3. Music - Whats your favourite music to listen to in Autumn?

I generally listen to the same kind of music as normal however near the end of the season I will start getting those Christmas tunes out.

4. Perfume - Whats your favourite scent this time of year?

I love Chanel Coco Noir for this time of year as it has a very autumnal/wintery smell. I don't even know how to describe it, it just seems to work!

5. Candles - What scents will you be burning this season?

I am definitely going to be burning my Yankee candles in the scents Fireside Treats, Merry Marshmallow and Salted Caramel. I think I might get a large jar of the Fireside Treats this year since I used so many votive's last year!

6. What do you love most about Autumn?

You guys are probably bored of this by now since I am always saying that I love getting cozy! But if I was to list some things I would say...
  • Blankets
  • Candles
  • Crunchy leaves
  • Hot chocolate
  • Halloween
  • Warm colours
  • Fresh, cold air

         7. Favourite makeup look?

I love to use warm berry tones on my lips and a simple brown eye shadow with small winged eye liner. I think its a really cute autumn look and is definitely one you can wear with any autumn clothes!

8. What are you most looking forward to in autumn?

Halloween! I love getting dressed up to go out and deciding what to be but other then that probably just relaxing and staying in really!

The easiest eye makeup ever!

Although I have a passion for makeup, I cant always be bothered to spend ages doing it. Especially if its 7am on a Monday -_- So its on these sorts of days I like to whip out my three trusty products and get out the door looking as fabulous as ever!

The maybelline colour tattoo retails at £4.99 which is a bargain considering how great it is. For this easy eye makeup I use my ring finger to lightly dab in the pot then simply swipe it on my eyelid. If I need to I will blend the edges a bit with a fluffy eye brush but other then that I am done with the eyeshadow!

Then I use my eyelash curlers and put a few coats of mascara on. And voilĂ  you're done!

Its such a pretty look and it literally takes about 2 minutes to do! Definitely one to remember!

Everyday Makeup

Compared to some people I think I have a pretty basic make-up routine but I want to share it with you anyway so here it is, my everyday make-up routine! All the products in the pictures will be linked at the bottom of the post.

The main products I use
I don't normally bother with primer as I just don't have the time in the morning to faff about so I go straight in with my foundation and expert face brush. Once I've blended my foundation in I use a bit of concealer on any blemishes and under my eyes then use the same brush to just blend it all in. I then use my buffing brush to dust on any oily parts of my face with my matte face powder.

I think these need a clean...
Once what I like to call my "base"is finished I go in with my blush brush and sweep some bronzer in the hallows of my cheeks, around my temples, down my neck and on the sides of my nose. Then I just blend, blend, blend! I then get a dab of my cream blush on my finger and sweep it on the apples of my cheeks then use my buffing brush to blend it in.

I got this in TK Maxx for £2.99! Bargain!
If I have a bit of time I will put some eyeshadow on my eyes and then curl my lashes. If not I will go straight in with the mascara and do a few coats of that on each eye. If I can see that its going to be a miserable day I will also put some water proof mascara on. I then use my eyebrow brush to tame the caterpillars over my eyes and then I will shape and fill them with my brow pencil. To make it look a bit more natural I will brush over them once more and I am done!

So thats my makeup routine! Of course sometimes I will mix it up a bit but thats normally how it goes. Let me know what other posts you want to see and links for products in pictures are below!

Highstreet autumn lipsticks

Autumn has to be one of my favourite times a year! I love everything about it, the big snuggly jumpers, hot soup on cold days and the warm berry colours that start to be seen everywhere. Thats why I had to do a autumn lipsticks post since I just love them so much and need to share it with you!
From left to right, No 7, Rimmel London, Topshop Lips, Rimmel London and Revlon

All of the lipsticks in this post are, in my opinion, very affordable and even better, they are all great quality!

No. 7 Moisture drench in shade 25 Highland Mist £9.95
This shade is a nice shimmery number and is probably one of my all time favourite lipsticks! Its one of the few lippy's that does exactly what it says as it is very moisturising, plus you only need a few top ups for it to last all day. The colour is a pale browny beige with lots of little bits of gold shimmer in, so it definitely gets me in the festive spirit *is it too early for that?!*

Rimmel London Moisture Renew in shade 360 As You Want Victoria £6.49
This lipstick is a lot brighter then the previous one and has quite a pink undertone however I still think that it is perfect for autumn. I only use a little bit of this shade as it does come off very strong but I still love wearing it as its just such a pretty pink colour!

Topshop Lipstick in shade Beguiled £8.00
The name of this always makes me feel very much in the mood for Halloween! I'm not sure why but perhaps its because I can just imagine a witch casting a spell and throwing the word beguiled in there? Anyway, this shade is a gorgeous dark plum coloured lipstick and looks amazing with a more glamorous autumn/winter look. Not be vain but I think it goes with my dark brown hair very well!

Rimmel London Kate Moss in shade 107 £5.49

This lipstick is quite similar to the previous one however it has more of a red undertone rather then the plum undertone that Beguiled has. Its also much more matte *sneaky alliteration there* then the other one. If I'm feeling brave I will wear this colour out and about in town or shopping with my friends however I think its probably more of a night time shade.

Revlon Colourburst in shade 205 Elusive £7.99
Final colour! The Revlon colour bursts are actually lip crayons but I'm including it anyway. This is definitely my go to lipstick as its such a pretty shade and its quite neutral so I feel much more confident in wearing it! And the packaging means its so easy to apply then just chuck in your bag and go.

Swatches in order of appearance.

Barry M matte nail varnish review!

Yesterday I went to Exeter with my two friends to get our nails done! It was he first time I had gotten acrylic nails so the whole process was completely new to me. I am awful with my nails and have bitten them ever since I can remember so having long nails is something I'm getting used to! The colour I decided to have painted on was by O.P.I and although I do not know the exact colour it is very similar to Malaga Wine! But anyway I'm getting away from the point of this post! The reason I just told you that little story is because now that I have nice long nails I can paint them! I already had two of the Matte Barry M nail varnishs at home (Espresso and Crush) which I normally painted on my toe nails and so I decided to buy the other ones too!

My first nail varnish happened to be a Barry M number (however it was luminous green and kind of resembled sick) but none the less I have loved the brand ever since then, especially in the recent years that they have released special nail varnishes such as their chameleon and sprinkle looks! As some of you may know, in the last few months matte nails have been bang on trend and the ones from Barry M are amazing! When I first tried the product I was slightly worried about how they would turn out since while in the bottle and on the brush the nail varnish looks the same as any other kind however once dried on the nail you can definitely tell the difference!

Barry M Matte Nail Varnish retails at £3.99

The nail varnish lasts for at least two weeks without much chipping at all and needs such a little amount for each nail meaning that the bottle lasts forever! My current favourite is mocha since the weather (fingers crossed) seems to be getting a bit sunnier which means paler colours look amazing! I hope this review has come in handy and just a small disclaimer that all opinions are my own and I am not trying to alter your view on the product!

Ok until next time,
Lots of Love

February Wishlist

Another month another wishlist! You know the drill, links are at the bottom of the page and I hope you enjoy reading!
Don't grow up Sweatshirt £40 candykittens
Sweatshirts are the perfect slouching garment to have you feeling comfy even on the roughest of days. This one is from Jamie Laing's (made in chelsea) clothing line, candykittens. The quote on it is just perfection and the soft material would make any rough day better!

Reindeer onesie £34 down to £15 Topshop
Its winter, we're all cold but what is a better way to warm yourself up then cuddling by the fire in your new extra fluffy onesie?! This one is especially cute as its a reindeer and not only that but its reduced by over half price! Proper bargain if you ask me!

Elephant safari skirt £12.75 Forever 21
Maxi skirts are an easy way of looking dressy while at the same time keeping your legs sheltered from the wind and rain. This one has a lush pattern and would look great with a black vest and fluffy cardigan!
Sweatshirt £7.99 H&M
Sweatshirts are probably the comfiest things ever! They're just perfect for when you get home from school to chuck on and get cozy while doing your homework. This one in particular looks extra cute because of the bright turquoise colour!

Chambray Joggers £17.90 Forever 21
I know nobody likes to exercise during those winter months but you have to stay healthy somehow and with these at least you will look good doing so! Mind you im not sure denim is the perfect material for going on a jog in so maybe you would be more suited to just watch some telly in them! shhh dont tell anyone ;D
Grey check contrast collared tea dress £25.00 River Island
February is the month of valentines day and with every valentines day comes alot of romantic nights out! This is cute and casual, the perfect combination for dinner with your loved one!

Mosaic moment trousers £16.75 Forever 21
There seems to be a repetitive slouch factor in this post but oh well! These trousers are very unique with their mosaic patterned print and I can imagine another cute garment to wear on valentines day perhaps paired with a loose silky black vest top and black blazer.

Pink colour block bowler bag £40.00 River Island
Oh how I wish I owned this bag! River island score top marks with this bright and springy bag, the colours add a pop of summer on a bleak winters day and trust me you can fit anything in this bad boy! absolute perfection!

Whimsical floral kimono £18.75 Forever 21
Kimonos are extremely in at the moment, lots of fashion and beauty bloggers have raved about them but it is hard to find one that can be worn with alot of items. As you can see from the picture, this one from forever 21 would look amazing with a black mini skirt and black boots. Great for nights out!

And that is all for todays post I hope you all enjoyed and leave me a comment below of what I should next do as a post! Thanks for reading!
